Canadian Cultural Gardens Assistant Volunteer
If you have a passion for wild plants, education, and gardening join our Cultural Gardens program. Forager Foundation's Cultural Gardens initiative creates community spaces to pass on local cultural heritage surrounding edible and medicinal plants. Our program volunteers support the work of the program director by helping out with the basic behind-the-scenes development and implementation of our current garden projects, for example, community outreach, materials sourcing, and construction coordination.
Opportunities are available from Monday to Friday only, at our Vancouver office. There are no weekend volunteering opportunities. Volunteers usually donate four to eight hours per week, Monday to Friday, normally starting between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and then finishing between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. We try to place volunteers according to their preferences.
